Sullivan Goss Rings in the New Year with Lockwood de Forest

Title image for the Lockwood de Forest Video

Sullivan Goss would like to wish our wonderful patrons a happy 2010. We have begun the year with a new show of work by local favorite, Lockwood de Forest. The gallery even managed to procure some rare samples of the Indian-inspired Teak designs that made de Forest a famous man during his lifetime, one hundred years ago.

The show went up last week and, as expected, it opened to large crowds on First Thursday. Gallery Director, Jeremy Tessmer recently finished the video to accompany the exhibit. The video gives a brief biography of the artist and the history of how his works became so coveted by Santa Barbara collectors.

To watch the video you can click on the image above. If you haven’t been in to see the show yet, watch the video, then come in to see it for yourself. As always, please come back to the blog to leave you comments to let us know what you think.
