“Imagine the colorful conversation that would occur if Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol were seated next to each other at a dinner party. These two vibrant Martha Erlebacher paintings are a catalyst to that conversation. It is up to us hear it.”

Man Resting in Park

“Together these two paintings capture the wonderful complexity of how we view American labor. On one side we have the colossal and triumphant achievements in engineering and design, on the other we have a solitary man who takes a well deserved rest from the fundamental work that keeps the whole system running.”

GREGORY BOTTS

Aspen Night 7

“Nava and Botts were born to a generation that had to navigate between the high-minded seriousness of Modern Art and the sarcastic hipness of Post Modern Art. In these paintings, both artists have found a way to leave that debate for long enough to bring fresh, warm visions of a summer day.” -Jeremy

SERGEI BONGART

Artichoke Flowers, 1960s

MAX ERNST

Cactus – Bunny

“These two artists came to the southwest United States after narrowly escaping persecution during the second world war. Ernst was well established and would be remembered as one of the twentieth century’s most important artists. Bongart built a strong regional reputation over the years as in influential teacher in the art school he established in Los Angeles. Both artists were masters in their own right.”
